Michelle Pesante Colorist Reel

When Michelle came to me, she’d been focused on photo retouching, but suddenly had clients interested in her video color grading for fashion ads. She had a large collection of work, but it lived as individual pieces, so she needed it shaped into a snappy, cohesive reel. After landing on music that matched her vision, we combed through her footage to pull out the strongest moments, some of her personal favorites, and others that really highlighted her talent and sharp eye for color.

This was a fun project that let me play with a wide range of visuals to build an energetic, yet sensuous edit, and I capped it off with a quick title card that pulled colors from her footage to outline the word "Colorist" as it drew on the screen.
